Bold & Bookish simply started as a newsletter where Cat tracked her progress and shared it with those in her community. Then she got to thinking, if people are showing up for me, I want to show up for them, too. She began to think about how use this platform to bring people together, especially those who just needed an extra push into order to take their ideas seriously

How did we get here?

A desk with a pink and white keyboard, a matching mouse, a water bottle, and a computer monitor displaying a website. There are various items, including a tissue box, notebooks, and office supplies, on the desk. The room has blue walls with framed pictures, and a window allowing natural light to enter.

Our Mission

Bold & Bookish is a space for writers to take their ideas seriously. Through inspirational articles, critique circles and workshops we help emerging and seasoned writers foster connections and build skills to move past the internal and external challenges that keep us from trusting our ideas.

Our Values

Authenticity: You deserve to bring your full self to the page and to our spaces. Every writer is different. Cultivating your unique voices strengthens your writing and enhances the spaces we share.

Joy: We take this work seriously and we’re also here to have fun. The tone of our brand is light-hearted and our workshops aim to prioritize play as an instrumental part of connection and creativity.

Rigor: Our creativity is deserving of time and attention regardless of whether or not it is profitable. Sitting with moments of challenge, pushing uphill and broadening our view of the world make us stronger, more empathetic and more interesting writers.
